Allan K. Richards Sr., 75, died Monday, October 10, 2016 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Westfield on December 16, 1940 to the late Kenneth and Ruth (Wright) Richards. He was a lifelong resident attended local schools and was a 1958 graduate of Westfield Trade School. He was a U.S. Airforce Veteran. He worked for the Fire Dept. in Westfield, Box Makers, he owned and operated Al’s Photo’s, worked at Ray’s Mobile and for many years D&D Auto Parts and retired in 2001. Allan was a member of Westfield Sportsman’s Club and the American Legion Post #124. He enjoyed photography and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife Marie (Spitzer) Richards in 1999. He leaves his son Allan K. Richards Jr. and his wife Karen, his daughter Ann Richards and Dave all of Westfield. Allan also leaves his grandchildren Kimberly and Christopher, David, Sabrina and Steven and was pre-deceased by his grandson Luke. His great-grandchildren Kobe, Connor, Kayden and Grayson and his former daughter-in-law Mary Richards. He was pre-deceased by his sister Laura Liberty. The funeral for Allan will be held on Friday October 14th at 7:30 pm from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. The Burial will be held on Tuesday October 18th at 10 am in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield. Calling hours will be held on Friday at the funeral home before the funeral service from 4-7:30 pm.
