Claire M. (O'Neil) Casey

Westfield- Claire M. O’Neil Casey, 92, died Saturday, March 31, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield, MA on August 12, 1925 to the late Joseph and Christine (Sullivan) O’Neil. She was a 1942 graduate of Cathedral High School. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Francis T. Casey in 2014 and her sister Elaine O’Connell in 1988. She leaves her children and their wives Daniel and Linda, Richard and Lynda, Paul and Lisa, William and Susan and James and Karen all of Westfield. She also leaves her grandchildren Tim Casey and Liz, Shannon Casey and her fiancé Keith Purdy, Ashleigh Casey and her fiancé Andrew Morris, Chynna Mackey and Corey, Cole Casey, Trista Rice and Tom, Jeffrey Casey and Lindsey, Joseph Casey and Erin, Christopher Casey and Jessa, Jillian Scavotto and Adam, Daniel Casey and his fiancee’ Kristan LeClair, Megan Casey and her fiancé Alec Bastian, Amy Casey and Alyssa Nangle and Sean, several great-grandchildren, 4 nieces 1 nephew and many close friends and cousins. The funeral will be held on Friday April 6th at 10 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 4-7 pm.
