Westfield-Daniel H. Moreno, 78, died Thursday May 11, 2017 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 2, 1939 to the late Nicholas and Mary (Hill) Moreno. He grew up in San Antonio and attended local schools. He was a U.S. Airforce Veteran. He lived in Springfield for 20 years and has lived in Westfield for the past 25 years. He worked for NCR as a computer programmer and was also an independent consultant. He loved working around the house and spending time with his dogs. He was pre-deceased by his wife Nancy (Meunier) Moreno in 2012. He leaves his daughter Karen Blackwelder and her husband Eric of Westfield, his grandchildren Matthew, Danny, Taylor, Jeremy, Elizabeth and Emily. He also leaves his brothers David of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Diego of Pensacola, Florida and Dennis of San Antonio, Texas. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Katherine Swearingen in 2014. A calling hour for Daniel will be held on Tuesday May 16 from 12 Noon until 1 pm from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A service will follow at 1 pm.
