Elena Arce Obituary
Elena (Larriuz) Arce, 76, passed away on January 28, 2018 at Governor’s Center. She was born in
Arecibo, Puerto Rico on August 2, 1941 to the late Ramon and Amelia (Aleman) Larruiz. Elena was a
communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Westfield where she was a member of the Cofrada Del Sogrado
Corazon Cursillo De Cristiandad and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her
beloved husband Pastor Arce in 1996 and is survived by her beloved children, Magdalena Rosario of
Easthampton, Luis Larriu of Missouri, Marisol Serrano of Virginia, Minelba Medina of Chicopee, Edwin
Arce and Rosalie Santiago both of Westfield, her siblings, Amelio, Fundador, Rafaela, Ana, Aida, Tina,
Carmen and Maria, 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Saturday,
February 3, 2018 at 9:30 AM from the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Mass at
10:30 AM in St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett St. Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
Donations in Elena’s name may be directed to the family and they will be used for any additional funeral
costs, the remainder will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
