Westfield-Laurence Donald Bancroft, 79, was born on April 17, 1938 and left this life on October 17, 2017. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne in 1986 and his son Laurence in 1992. He loved gardening, animals, reading, enjoyed movies and going fishing. He loved his family with all his heart. Laurence enjoyed trips to London with his family and the occasional cruise. He was a member of the American Legion Post 124, where he enjoyed pints with his mates. He will be missed. Heaven get ready for a little hell!!! He leaves his dear friend of many years, Carol Jones, his daughter Judy Piper of Feeding Hills, his son William of Westfield, his daughter Jeanne Piper and her husband Thomas of Blandford, his grandson Kevin Romani and his wife Mary of Northampton and granddaughter Allyson Bancroft of Westfield. He leaves his loving brother William Bancroft and his wife Agnes Bancroft of Westfield. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-7 PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. A Graveside service will be on Saturday at 11AM in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield.
