Agawam-Linda T. (Sonsini) Iarrusso, 69, died Friday, February 24, 2017 in a local nursing home. She was born in Springfield on November 23, 1947 to the late Joseph and Carolina (Piccin) Sonsini. She grew up in Agawam and was a 1965 graduate of Agawam High School. She worked at Suffield Country Club as a waitress and was an administrative assistant for Strathmore Paper Co. in Westfield for 22 years. She enjoyed her winters in Key West and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Nazzaro Iarrusso in 1994. She leaves her daughter Lisa Sullivan and her husband George of Westfield, her son Joe Iarrusso and his wife Denise of Southwick, her grandchildren Kyle Arduino, Adrianna and Joseph Iarrusso, her brother Robert Sonsini and his wife Lillian of Agawam. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 28 at 9:30 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Church, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield. Calling hours will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
