Melanie O. Midura, 92, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in a local nursing home. She was born in Westfield on September 13, 1924 to the late Joseph and Louise (Lula) Burzynski. She attended local schools and was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed country music, gardening, the Boston Red Sox. Melanie was also very proud of her polish heritage. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph Midura in 1994. She leaves her daughters Cynthia Midura-Dennis of Southwick and her husband Thomas Sr., and Louise Hartnett and her husband Bernie of Westfield. She also leaves her grandchildren Rebecca, Michael, Amy Sarah, Colin, Brendan, Bridget and her great-granddaughter Cynthia, many nieces and nephews and was pre-deceased by 4 siblings. The funeral for Melanie will be held on Tuesday June 6th at 9 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Trinity Church.
