Richard Schneider of Westfield passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Richard was born in Germany to the late Edward and Marianne (Musterait) Schneider. He graduated from American International College in Springfield where he received a degree in Economics. He worked for Big Y as a Sales Manager for many years. Richard enjoyed gardening and watching the Patriots play on Sundays. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years of marriage, Kathleen M. Schneider (Deane), of Westfield, two loving children; his daughter Rachel M. Schneider of Westfield and her boyfriend Dustin Keegan and his son Michael D. Schneider of Westfield; he leaves his sister-in-law Maureen Deane and two brothers Mark Schneider and his wife Gail of Westfield and their sons Ethan and Jason and his wife Laura and their daughter, his great niece Abigail, and Ronald Schneider and his wife Sandra of Longmeadow and their kids Samantha and Alexander. He also leaves many dear friends. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 20 from 4-7PM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 21 at 10AM at St John’s Lutheran Church, 60 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
