My first memory of Rita is of her welcoming smile. Rita smiled often. In fact, it is hard to picture her without that smile. The second time I saw her, she welcomed me with a "pat" on the back that nearly knocked me off my feet. What I learned about Rita is that she was full of love. I am grateful for the time that she took my husband, David, into her home and made him feel welcome and loved. I honor her for taking in her two grandsons and loving them like a mother. I know that Rita did not have an easy life and she suffered many wrenching losses, but she always had the strength to be present and to love. I would be proud to be half the woman she was.

My sincerest condolences. I'm so sorry to hear that Rita has passed. She lead a long and happy life. I have many fond memories of her. She was so active, loved her family and her blueberry mountain and always left you with a hard solid handshake and a big tap on the back. Rita I know you have been reunited with George. God bless. 💜

Rita was my bus driver during elementary school. We shared a love of horses. I remember Rita riding in the 4th of July parade. Great lady!
