. Ann (Genovese) Cooley of Westfield Mass. passed away peacefully on May 12, 2019. Born June 16, 1930 in Westfield, she was the daughter of the late Severino and Giovannina (Italiano) Genovese and the sister of Samuel Genovese, Theresa Genovese, and Ruby Mulvenna. She is survived by her children Mark Curtin and wife Stella, daughter Maria Curtin-McKenna and husband Dennis, daughter Anne (Curtin) Birch and husband Doug, son Michael Curtin, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law Florence and Gordon Snyder, and her many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Earl Cooley died in 2015. Ann graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She enjoyed her work as a registered nurse, especially as a School Nurse caring for the children in the Westfield Public Schools for many years. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend the service on Friday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street Agawam, Mass. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for her care to the staff at Mount St. Vincent Nursing Home in Holyoke and The Arbors Assisted Living in Westfield.
