Our beloved Carl John Wesley Sr. of Feeding Hills, MA met our heavenly father on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the age of 72. He was born in Ludlow, MA on June 12, 1947 to Helen Theresa Broderick and Theodore Arthur Wesley Sr. His life of hard work began at the age of 13 in the Westfield tobacco fields. At age 19, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and experienced a life of multiple cultures, having served overseas. After his honorable discharge, Carl moved back & forth from MA to San Antonio, TX, working as a retail manager, settling in Feeding Hills, MA. He was a member of the DAV, American Legion, & Polish American Club in Agawam. His passion was building, maintaining, detailing and restoring his Chevrolet Automobiles. In May 1997, he won 2nd Prize at the Polish American Club’s Western MA Model “A” Restorers Club 27th Annual Meet for restoration of his 1968 Chevelle Super Sport. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and his brother Ted Jr. of TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce; his children: Son Carl Jr. (Emma), Daughter Theresa (Ron); grandchildren: Ava and Connor, sister Linda Blaha (Mark); sister-in-laws: Sharron Wesley & Ellen Barton (Robert) and cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be forever remembered for his fierce love and devotion to family, his endless joking and contagious laughter. He will be greatly missed by all. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at 12:30 pm from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in the Mass. Veterans Cemetery in Agawam.
