Duane P. Desilets

Duane P. Desilets, 62, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born in Springfield to Laurent E. and Madeline (Banas) Desilets. Duane worked as a machinist for Hamilton Standard from 1979-1992 and left to join the State of Connecticut Corrections Department from 1993 until he retired in 2016. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved woodworking, carpentry, baseball and had a love for music. He also enjoyed the ocean, beaches and hiking. Duane served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1974-1977. Duane is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Victoria A. (Copeland) Desilets of Westfield, his loving children, Duane P. Desilets, II and his wife Amy of Westhampton and Christin R. Reuter and her husband Colin of Leeds, MA, his brother Larry Desilets and his wife Janice of Chesapeake, VA and his cherished granddaughter, Maddy.
