Estelle V Godin

Westfield-Estelle V. (Meunier) Godin, 94, died Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Mt. St. Vincent Care Center in Holyoke. She was born in Chicopee on September 20, 1924. She grew up in Holyoke and attended local schools and was a 1943 graduate of Holyoke High School. She also lived in Chicopee and Myrtle Beach and has lived in Westfield for the past 20 years. She worked for New England Telephone Company in the business office for 8 years, she was the director’s assistant for the Chicopee Council on Aging for 8 years and retired in 1986. She also spent 3 years at the Westfield Senior Center. Estelle was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Westfield and was a former member and Lector at Assumption Church in Chicopee. She enjoyed spending time on the golf course. She was pre-deceased by her husband Albert J. Godin and her grandson Gregory Seipel. She leaves her children Gary A. Godin of Chicopee and Gail A. Godin of Westfield, her grandchildren Karin Carboneau and her husband Mark of Westfield and Matthew Godin of Chicopee, her great-grandchildren Gregory Seipel Jr., Jerry and Sophie Carboneau. She was also pre-deceased by her siblings Charlotte Peltier and Norman Peltier. The funeral will be held on Tuesday June 18th at 9:00 am till 10 am at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery in Chicopee.
