Everett H. Talmadge

Everett H. Talmadge, 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Baystate Noble Hospital. He was born in Chicopee to the late Everett and Eleanor (Thiem) Talmadge and was a graduate of Westfield State with a Bachelors Degree. Everett was employed by the Agawam Public Schools as a math and science teacher for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. He served his country during Korea from 1950-1954 and received the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Ribbon. Everett was a member and Past Commander for the American Legion Post 124, a member of Mass Tri-county Bowling Association, former coach of AJBC and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. He enjoyed building model planes and ships, woodworking and playing golf. Everett is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth A. (Piacenza) Talmadge, his five loving children, Mark H. Talmadge and his wife Carol of Westfield, Paula M. Rogalski and her husband Richard of Rutherfordton, NC, Matt K. Talmadge and his wife Ali of Westfield, Michael L. Talmadge with Laura of Springfield and Ann E. Talmadge with Mike of Canaan, CT, three sisters, Nancy Frisbee of Westfield, Betsy Converse of Worcester and Virginia Hopkins of Westfield and three grandchildren, Jason, Zachary and Stephen. A Memorial wake will be held on Saturday from 2-5PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield. A Memorial service will be held at 4:30PM in the funeral home. www.firtionadams.com
