George N. Fortier

George N. Fortier, 70, passed away on February, 14, 2018 at Governor’s Center. He was born in Westfield to the late George N. and Eugenia (Segzdowicz) Fortier. George worked as a lineman for 34 years for Westfield Gas and Electric and after he retired he was a bus driver for Lucrenski Brothers. He loved the outdoors, deep sea fishing and hunting and was a member of Italian Fraternal Club. George is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Michele A. (DeCillis) Fortier, his loving daughter, Nicole C. Pepin and her husband John of Westfield, his sisters, June Couch and her husband Paul, Carol Mercer, his aunt Loretta Lavin, his brother-in-law Wayne DeCillis and his wife, Annie, all of Westfield and his sister-in-law Naomi Gath and her husband Richard of New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday at 2PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service from 12-2PM in the funeral home.
