Though the last good-bye's the hardest one to say,
This is where the (biker) cowboy rides away.
Miss you both.

Mike and I shared some great times as vocational teachers for nearly fifteen years at the Mainline facility of Westfield Voke. He was a great pal and such a funny story teller. The students at Mainline were of special needs and Mike showed tremendous compassion and accepted their learning difficulties and social differences in such a way as to keep these youngsters happy in a school setting using his great personality, wit and, of course, carpentry skills; no small feat in the field of teaching.
Though I hadn't seen him in over 20 years until I visited with him at Soldiers Home recently I feel a loss now that he's passed away. I'm so glad that we reconnected in our old age!! I learned of his death and funeral too late to attend.
Please accept my condolences and my sad heart in losing a good friend.

I started following Mike at The Southwick Inn back in the early '80's. I followed him to the Tumble Inn, and to Post 338.
I went down alone, and sat with Lois every Friday and Saturday night. I'd always stay until they finished playing, and I'd help Mike put his equipment in the car.
We'd always leave at the same time and follow each other back to Westfield. Mike and Lois would turn off and we would blink our high beams to say good night as I made my way home to Montgomery.
Mike and Lois were like second parents to me, and they sat on the aisle and watched me get married in 1992.
Mike was always VERY proud of his son Ernie and his Grandchildren.
I had no idea that Lois had left us, and I am truly sorry, and will love and miss them both always.
"Good night, Mike!"
Love you both,
Theresa
