Grace J (Oleksak) Wade

Grace J. (Oleksak) Wade, 91, died Thursday, November 22, 2018. She was born in Westfield on March 30, 1927 to the late Andrew T. Oleksak Sr. and Pauline (Irzyk) Oleksak. She grew up in Westfield attended local schools and was a graduate of Westfield High School. She worked for Oleksak Lumber Co. on Main Street for 34 years. She also worked in the banking industry until retirement. She was a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed bowling and golfing and her weekly breakfast with her high school alumni group. Grace was pre-deceased by her husband William Wade in 1978. She leaves her nieces and nephews Andrew T. Oleksak III and his wife Modwyn of Westfield, Daniel Oleksak and his wife Charlcy of Granville, Donna Michel and Patricia Sicard of Westfield and Jo-Ann (Oleksak) Orluk and her husband Stephen of Montgomery. She also leaves 6 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews. Grace’s family would like to thank Baystate Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to her. A funeral Mass for Grace will be held on Tuesday November 27th at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the Mass on Tuesday morning from 9-10 at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield.
