John S Kiendzior

May 5, 1938 ~ April 30, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old

John S. Kiendzior, 78, passed away at Baystate Medical Center on Sunday, April 30th, 2017. He was born May 5th, 1938 in Westfield to the late John and Emma Kiendzior. He was a lifelong resident of Westfield, attended local schools and graduated from Westfield Trade School in 1956. He was a U.S Naval Veteran and spent 4 years aboard the USS Ranger Aircraft Carrier traveling the world. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and spent the 16 years of his retirement doing the very things he loved. John made numerous appearances in the local newspapers for fishing throughout the course of his 78 years and to some he was a legend. For those that were fortunate enough to spend some time with him in the woods or on the water, well there’s a pretty good chance they learned something. Perhaps the fish population with begin to prosper again as their greatest foe is now laid to rest. He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Christine Kiendzior, and his son Jason Kiendzior of Haymarket, VA. He also leaves behind his grandson Jackson Kiendzior of Haymarket, VA, Brother David Kiendzior, Sister Chloe Puza, and Brother Peter Kiendzior. He was a remarkable person and a true steward to conservation. Known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and hilarious one liners, he will be missed by many friends and family members. The funeral for John will be held on Thursday, May 4th at 2 pm at the Mass Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Please send any flowers to his home at 62 Otis St, Westfield, MA. 01085. Donations can be made to the American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231. Firtionadams.com
