John E. Nowak passed away September 30, 2018. He was the son of the late Edward and Eleanor (Weglarz) Nowak. John proudly served his country in the Army Reserve (SSG) in the Motor Pool, honorably discharged. Early in his career, John worked for his Uncle’s business, Crown Products, Inc. - a company he came to own and operate for many years before joining C.A.R. Products, and later DuBois Chemicals. John enjoyed working in the lab creating new automotive detailing products and selling to customers. John was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing; these times were especially enjoyed when shared with his son, Jim or son-in-law, Chris. An antique car enthusiast, John often attended antique car meets and street rod shows with his wife, Jane, and he enjoyed restoring old cars with Jim. John’s family mattered most to him. Through the years he enjoyed time with Jane, Jim, and his daughter, Jackie at things like BMX racing events, fishing outings, picking autumn mushrooms, or just going for a Sunday drive. Later in life, John thoroughly loved being “Jaju” and simply adored his grandchildren, Jennifer and CJ, taking every opportunity to enjoy their loving company and energetic youth and proudly sharing stories of their activities and accomplishments. John is survived by his wife Jane, his son Jim and his girlfriend Tania Monteiro and her children Tony and Adam, his daughter Jackie Bouchard, her husband Chris and their children Jennifer and Christopher Jr. (CJ), his sister Sandee Wisniowski and her husband Eddie, his sisters-in-law Sister Eileen Kulacz, OSF, Diane Lapa and her husband Joe, and Elaine Mokrzycki and her husband Joe. Calling hours will be at Firtion Adams Funeral Home in Westfield, MA on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 10am – 11am followed by a prayer service. Burial will be private.
