John J (Sr.) Williams

Westfield-John J. Williams Sr., 61, died Thursday, January, 3, 2019 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Westfield on November 3, 1957 to the late Albert E. and Clara (Maley) Williams. He grew up in Westfield attended local schools and was a 1975 graduate of Westfield High School. He worked for Whites Industries after High School and later for Noble Hospital first for security and later as a boiler engineer and retired in 2013. John was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a Denver Bronco’s fan, was a handyman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves his wife of 40 years Sheila M. (Kaslauskas) Williams, his children Kimberly Barton and her husband Jeffrey, John J. Williams Jr., Jennifer Williams and her fiancée Anthony Orszulak Sr. all of Westfield, his grandchildren Mathew, John III, Josephine, Aiden, Ryland and T.J., his father in law Edward Kaslauskas. He was pre-deceased by his grandson Gotham. He also leaves his brother George Fitch Sr. of Florida, his sisters Shirley Willey of Dalton, Marion Goldrup and Chris Buffum of Westfield and Ruth Warner of Enfield, CT. and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sisters Claire Fitch and Joanne Dearing. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 8th at 8 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield.
