Katherine Kazimiera (Steglinski) Pluciennik, 89, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. She was born and educated in Poland to the late Franciszek and Franciszka (Krzyzaniak) Steglinski. Through her endurance and strength following WWII and coming to America, she was a hero in those who knew her and who she helped. She was a loving, kind and generous faithful servant. She worked for Torrington Needle and later for Anderson and Sons as a punch press operator. Katherine was a Sunday school teacher and the last living charter member of the Full Gospel Church in Westfield. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sending clothes and packages to Poland to help those less fortunate. Katherine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Antoni J. Pluciennik in 2006 and is survived by her loving children, Henry Pluciennik and his wife Olga and Joseph A. Pluciennik, all of Westfield, her three cherished grandchildren, Eric Pluciennik, Emily Pluciennik and Natalie Proulx and her husband Aaron, one great grandson Zacharias and her best friend Bernice Kedzerski, who she met in Germany. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kazimierz, Stanistaw, Wtadystaw and Zygmunt and her sister Maryjanna Kowalczyk. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10AM in the Full Gospel Church, 110 Union St. Westfield, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Western Ave. Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, from 2-5PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
