Marta (Staron) Sobczyk

Marta (Staron) Sobczyk, 80, of Westfield died Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Baystate Medical Center. She was Born in Jworedw, Poland on April 1, 1938 daughter of the late Richard and Agustina (Baldwka) Staron. Marta married her husband John Sobczyk in 1955 and moved to Westfield in 1962 from Poland. She was employed at Columbia Bicycle for many years and was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. Marta leaves her husband of sixty-three years John Sobczyk, two sons George and Stephen Sobczyk all of Westfield and a daughter Teresa Diehl of Citrus Heights, CA. She also leaves four grandchildren Wesley, Deseree, Quincey and Jesse Sobczyk and two great grandchildren Tully and Quinn. She was pre-deceased by her nephew Andre Sobczyk. The funeral will be Wednesday December 19th at 9 AM from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church at 10 AM, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
