Mary J (St. Clair) Leonard

Mary Jane (Jay) (St. Clair) Leonard, 80, of Westfield died Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on December 24, 1938 to Charles and Dorothy (Dion) St. Clair and grew up in West Springfield. Mary was a 1956 graduate of Cathedral High School and graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1959.She worked as a R.N. at Valley View Nursing Home and West Springfield Nursing Home and also volunteered for the Red Cross blood mobiles. Mary enjoyed reading and traveling in summer in Wells, Maine with her children. She leaves her husband Paul D. Leonard and her children, Sean Leonard and his wife Pam, Michael Leonard and his wife Donna, Sheila Nassar and her husband Joe, Patrick Leonard and his wife Heidi all of Westfield Daniel Leonard and his wife Michelle of Montgomery, and Mary Kate Braccialarghe and her husband Paul all of Westfield. Mary also leaves fourteen grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Ethan, Courtney, Madison, Kayla, Mckenzie, Camryn, Ty, Audrey, Julian, Ella, Colin and Luke and two nieces and two nephews and her brother in law James Leonard. Her brother in law John Leonard passed away on January 18, 2019. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 AM from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 AM with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
