Carol and I were shocked to read this, we were looking at the Tullibee page to see if you were coming to the reunion. Gretchen, we offer our condolences, we have so many fond memories, the birthday balls, the card games, the New Years eve parties and the long ride to New London from Southwick/Westfield in the VW. We are so happy that we got to see you both at our clam bake and the reunion in Groton. We send our love and prayers to you, your sons and their families.

Please excuse my late posting, however I wanted you to know that your loss was felt in northwestern PA. Collin and I served together on the Corporal '66-'68. His rant to Emily brought a smile in that we did make a couple northern runs and I can vouch for him seeing the lights of Murmansk through the scope. Wonderful memories of such a great shipmate.

Dear Gretchen and Family,
We saw you both last in 2011 in Branson, MO at our last Tullibee reunion. Mark will ALWAYS remember Collin for his sense of humor and dedication to all the sailors on Mark's first submarine. Most importantly, Senior Chief Ingraham's likability as a leader, mentor and role model enabled him to stay NAVY and pass on the most important priority in a highly technical occupation..."our sailors". Seem to clearly remember Gretchen, as the COB's wife and Ombudsman, helping, aiding, guiding and simply being there for our young wives and girlfriends left behind while we were deployed for 6 months. Collins brave and expertly written last description of a life well lived with no regrets along with his picture will always be remembered and is stored forever in my minds "picture gallery". Our love to you Gretchen and the entire Ingraham Family.
Very respectfully,
Mark & Cindy Arnstam

Our prayers go out to Gretchen and the Ingraham family. I had the privilege to serve with Collin on the USS Tullibee, SSN 597, in the 70s. He was Chief of the Boat and loved and respected by all on board. He will be missed. Fair winds and following seas shipmate.

Collin, we shared vacations, adventures, cigars and countless bottles of wine. Our lives are richer for having spent time with you and we will miss you. Save us a spot on the taffrail.
