Surrounded by family and friends, Tom (Thomas) Bruso passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 15th at Baystate Hospital. Born in Springfield on September 21, 1950, to the late Michael Bruso and Sally Ann (Starkey) Gray, Tom was one of seven children and raised in West Springfield. Tom resided in Southwick for the past thirty years and was self-employed as a Contractor and Real Estate Investor. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, and enjoying his beloved dog- Jackson. Along with his parents, Tom was predeceased by three of his siblings; Sally Ann Bruso, Kathleen Gray and Sheila (Bruso) Gordon. He is survived by his brother Michael Bruso of Monson, his sisters, Sylvia (Bruso) Delisle of Westfield and Donna (Gray) Lubanski of West Springfield, and many nieces and nephews. Along with his family members, Tom also leaves behind his longtime companion, Kristine Fortier, and her three children Caitlin, Michael, and Alec, and granddaughter Adalyn. Tom cherished them all as his own children and grandchild. Tom will be sorely missed by Alec Fortier who brought happiness and purpose to Tom’s life.
