Virginia M. (Rose) Coggin

Virginia M. (Rose) Coggin, 87, passed away in peace on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Thorndike, MA to the late David and Viola (Joynes) Rose. She retired from Western Mass Hospital as a phone operator and secretary. Virginia also worked as a banquet coordinator for over 20 years for East Mountain Country Club. Sadly, she was predeceased by her son, Denis Patric Coggin in 2014 and her sister Phyllis Muzzy. Virginia is survived by her loving grandchildren, Deanna Coggin of Granville, Patric D. Coggin and his wife Sara of Arkansas and Jayme L. Coggin and his wife Jessica of Westfield, her daughter-in-law, Brenda Coggin of Westfield, her great-grandchildren, David, Elizabeth, Camden and Skyler, two nieces, Tina Muzzy and Nancy Muzzy, and two nephews, David Folta and James Muzzy. Virginia’s funeral service will be held on Sunday at 4:30PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the service from 2-4:30PM in the funeral home.
