William Koivisto Obituary

William A. Koivisto, Jr. passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Governor's Center in Westfield. He was born March 12, 1960 to William A. Koivisto,Sr. and the late Barbara J. Koivisto. Billy loved the outdoors, the plants the animals and the birds. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting for treasures and music. He was an excellent trumpet and bass guitar player. Unfortunately for Billy, he had his share of addictions for most of his life and these were the cause of his poor health and untimely death. Besides his father, he leaves his sister Brenda O'Dea and his brothers Barry and Bradley (Kathleen) Koivisto, his nieces and nephews Thomas, Kerry and Eric O'Dea and Barry, Julie and Katie Koivisto. He also leaves behind his Uncles Henry Koivisto (Joanne) and Edward Leighton (Patricia) as well as many cousins. The Koivisto family would like to thank Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care and Behavioral Health Network Inc. of Springfield for all they did to care for Billy throughout his difficult times with addiction and illness. Memorial contributions may be made to both in his memory.
