Andrea B. (Cook) Cook-Hewitt

Andrea B. (Cook) Cook-Hewitt, 70 passed away on Tuesday April 18, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in West Hartford, CT to the late George and Gertrude (Gent) Cook. She moved to S. Hadley, MA in 1971 and attended Holyoke Community College, where she received her Associates Degree. Andrea worked for many years as a claims adjuster and retired in 2011. She then began to work for St. Peters and St. Casmir Parish cooking for Father William Wallis until 2019. Andrea was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church and was a longtime member of the Schoenstatt Movement. She enjoyed working on her homemade greeting cards, sewing and enjoyed camping for many years. Andrea is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, John M. Hewitt of Chicopee, her loving children, Sarah A. Kubic of Chicopee, Eric D. Kubic and his wife Jennifer of Westfield, Donna Hewitt of Westfield and Heather Smigiel of Chicopee, her cherished grandchildren, Rylee and Joseph, her brother Geoffrey Cook and his wife Annette of Killingworth, CT, her sisters-in-law, Kathy Thompson and her husband Mark of Westfield and Nancy Grimaldi and her husband Rick of Westfield and many nieces and nephews and many dear friends including Bill W. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9AM at the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by a Mass at 10AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield, MA. Burial will take place at 1:30PM at the Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd. Bloomfield, CT 06002.
