Anthony J. Coyne

Anthony J. Coyne, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Westfield Gardens. He was born in Boston, MA to the late Nora T. (Keane) and Martin J. Coyne. Anthony served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1957 until 1961 as a Radarman. He worked as a Real Estate Agent for many years and also became a school bus driver. He was an avid gardener and was a great storyteller and loved to tell a good joke. Anthony is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, Brother Tom and his wife Joan, Brother John and his wife Elizabeth. He leaves behind his devoted partner and caregiver of 22 years Adelina Sanchez and her loving family. Anthony also leaves behind his sister Mary Brown of Mansfield, Ma, and cousins, Catherine, Winifred, Nora, Mary and Betsy. Anthony also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Anthony and his family offer special thanks to the Veterans Health Administration (VA) staff for their dedicated care and support they provided over the years.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 11:30AM in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service followed by his liturgy of Christian burial at 12:30PM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Westfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2PM in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. The calling hours for Anthony will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 4-7PM in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield. www.firtionadams.com
