Anthony J Cray

Anthony J Cray (Tony) - 50, born on November 20, 1973, passed away surrounded by family, on October 13, 2024 after a brief illness. Tony graduated Westfield High in 1993 where he played football. He lovingly took care of his elderly parents for the past four years. Tony enjoyed attending music festivals especially the Dead & Company and was a season ticket holder with the Springfield Thunderbirds and enjoyed both of these activities with his beloved son, AJ. He leaves behind his parents Richard W. Cray and Patricia A. Cray ne Divine of Westfield; his sister Mary-Lynne Cray and her children Emily and Thomas of Westfield; his brother Daniel Cray and his wife Jennifer and their daughter, Ella of South Grafton; and his son, Anthony J Cray (AJ) who he shared an incredibly special bond with. He will be dearly missed by extended family and friends across the country. A special thanks to Baystate Medical Center ICU for their wonderful care for Tony, our family, and for demonstrating dignity and compassion in his final days. As part of Tony’s giving nature, he was an organ donor, and we would like to thank Dimitra and her team at New England Donor Services which included our sister in law Jenn for their compassion. A special tradition Tony and his son AJ participate in each year is Wreaths Across America in honor of Tony’s father who served his country.
