Antonia Maria (Camassa) Proietti

Westfield-Antonia Maria (Camassa) Proietti, 93, died Friday, September 13, at her home. She was born in Brindisi, Italy on August 17, 1931 to the late Cosimo and Antonia (Liaci) Camassa. She worked as a seamstress in Italy before moving to Westfield in 1971. She was a clerk at Stanley Cleaners and worked in the Laundry Dept. at Noble Hospital for 17 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of Le Stella and Italian Clubs in Springfield. She was an active member of New Life Christian Center in Westfield.  She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph “Giuseppe” Proietti in 1999. And her son Michele in 2003. She leaves her children Domenico of Brindisi, Italy, Teodoro of Torino, Italy, Anna Maria of Torino, Italy, Sergio of Hartford, CT, Pierangelo of Westfield, MA Roberto of Colorado Springs, CO and. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral for Maria will be held on Saturday September 21st at 12 noon at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Saturday prior to the funeral from 10am till 12 noon.
