Boleslaw “Boli” Rudolph Adamczyk, 97 of South Hadley, Ma died on August 23rd at Holyoke Medical Center. Boli was born in Ware Mass on June 23rd, 1923 to Stanley and Mary (Boranski) Adamczyk. He would say he was named after a King of Poland. He was proud to celebrate as “Pan & Panie” at Dozynki. He was the surviving sibling of Sophie, Walter, Patrick, Isabelle, John and Nancy. Bolesalw served his country honorably in the United States Navy aboard the “LST 998” in WWII. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Louise (Jez) in 1975 of Westfield, Mass. he married Anna (Wychorski) June 1986, of South Hadley. He is survived by son, William Adamczyk (Kathie Bein) and daughter, Susan Urban (John Urban). After the navy he was the butcher with his brothers, operated a grocery/package store in Ware, Quabbin Dairy Bar on Etsy 9 by Swift River. He also was an accountant to many businesses and tax preparer to many more in Ware and Westfield areas. He then became the accountant from Westfield Gas and Electric from which he retired (1988). Working all the time was his “polish Curse”. He was a proud past president of the Men’s Club of St Joseph’s church. He also recently celebrated 50th anniversary of being a Mason in the Mt Moriah Lodge. Also leaves behind his adored nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited for visitations on Wednesday August 26th 11-1pm at Firtion and Adams Funeral Home, Westfield Mass followed by a 1pm funeral service there. Burial will follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Apremont Way Westfield Mass with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to building fund of St Joseph’s Church Main Street Westfield.
