Bonnie D (Duryea) Jones

Bonnie Duryea Jones passed away peacefully on May 14th at home, with her husband of 67 years, Dale beside her. She was a loving wife and mother,and will be remembered as someone always thinking of others. Bonnie was born in Alliance, NE in 1932 to Abe and Conda Duryea, and was predeceased by her sister, Leta Rae Whiteman and brother, Bobby John Duryea. She attended an RN training program at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE and she worked as a nurse in the Veteran’s Administration until her retirement. She met and married her husband, Dale, in Kansas City, MO on July 8, 1956, and they moved to Chelmsford, MA where they raised their two sons, Douglas and Burt. After retirement, she lived in Antrim, NH, Sierra Vista, AZ, and Overland Park, KS, until moving to Westfield, MA in 2013. She leaves her husband, Dale, sons Burt of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, and Doug of Westfield, MA, daughter in-law Erica, and grandchildren Clarisse and Connor Jones.
