Carmel Ann (Sansiveri) Lariviere Obituary
Carmel Ann Lariviere, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026 peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on February 19, 1944, in Saratoga Springs NY, the daughter of the late Mr. Frank Sansiveri and Vincenza (Scuderi) Sansiveri. She was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School.
Carmel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Lariviere, and by her son, Brian Lariviere.
She leaves her loving family, including her son, David Lariviere and his companion, Paula Clark, of Westfield; her son, Michael Lariviere and his wife, Lisa Lariviere, of Oregon; and her sister-in-law, Janice Lariviere of New Hampshire.
Carmel Ann was employed by the Amica Insurance Company in Providence, Rhode Island, where she dedicated many years of service. Alongside her husband, Raymond, she was the co-owner of Calcrafts, a cottage industry business that produced homemade relishes and pickles, which they sold at local farmers markets and craft fairs.
She was an active member of Saint Rocco's Women's Club and generously volunteered her time at the local soup kitchen. Carmel will be remembered for her hard work, kindness, entrepreneurial spirit, and devotion to her family and community.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial for Carmel Ann will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 11:15 AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Westfield. Burial will follow in Massachusetts Veterans’ Cemetery, Agawam. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Westfield Food Pantry. www.firtionadams.com.
