Carol Jean (Oleksak) Barcome

Middlefield-Carol Jean (Oleksak) Barcome, 63, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at home. She was born in Springfield to the late Raymond and Evelyn (Jones) Oleksak on July 2, 1957. She grew up in Westfield attended local schools and received an associate’s degree from Holyoke Community College in Early Childhood Education. Carol has worked for several area day cares. She and her husband were therapeutic foster parents for the state. She enjoyed scuba diving, sewing and living in the country. She leaves her husband of 32 years Karl W. Barcome, her son Karl W. Barcome Jr., her grandchildren Riley and Grace, her siblings Jake, Glorianne, Ray and Mark Oleksak. Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 9th from 12 noon till 1:30 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A service will be held at 1:30 pm. Burial will be private.
