Carol Ann (Laprade) Gamache

Carol A (Laprade) Gamache, 81yrs, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was born March 4, 1943 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, to the late Capt. Alton F. Laprade and the late Dorothy (Winn) Laprade. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Betty (Laprade) Gulliver. She attended Fitchburg State College where she met the love of her life and husband of almost 60 years, Ronald Gamache. Carol lived most of her life in Westfield, Massachusetts where she was a Westfield Public School teacher for more than 25 years.

She most enjoyed spending time with her family and leaves behind her daughters, Julieanne Gamache and Susan (Gamache) Rodio and her husband Joesph Rodio. She also leaves her three dearly loved grandchildren, Brieanna Gamache, Elizabeth Rodio and Matthew Rodio.

Carol had a kind and generous heart and she was always doing for others. She will be missed by her family and her many dear friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or St Jude’s. The calling hours for Carol will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 4-6PM in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10AM in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield. www.firtionadams.com
