Carol A (Siska) Vella

Carol Ann Vella, age 86 of Westfield, MA, passed away Monday, January 13th, 2025. Born May 16th 1938, in Westfield MA. She is the daughter of Mary and Frank P.  Siska. Carol worked a variety of jobs in her life, while raising a family. She worked with Strathmore Paper Company in Woronoco, and as an entrepreneur including Carol’s Apples and Cider at many different fairs and festivals around the area. She will be remembered for her love, mastery of baking and for being the best mother, grandmother, friend and mentor that anyone could ask for. She leaves a piece of her heart in Mexico. San Miguel de Allende was her second home, where she leaves friends and loved ones that will never be forgotten. Her memory lives on through her siblings Francis Siska, Mary Cleary, Jane Dolan, Virginia Hawley, Gerald and Cynthia Siska, and her children, Roger Jones and his wife Rosana Alvarez, JoAnn Sell and her husband Glen Sell, Mary Vella, and Michael Jones and his pups, Ty and Lily, grandchildren, Isabella Jones, Dominic Allaire, Vince Welch, Max Welch, and many other loving friends, nieces and nephews, stepchildren, and step grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 9:30AM from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield with a Mass at 10:30AM in St. Peter’s/ St. Casimir’s Church, 50 State St. Westfield.
