Casey A Martin

WESTFIELD: Casey Artz Martin, 38 of Westfield, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Casey was born in Holyoke at Providence Hospital on March 21, 1983, to Bruce and Marge Martin. Casey graduated from Westfield High School in 2001 before going on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts. She was an Office Manager at Lawry Freight in Westfield, where she was beloved by her boss and fellow colleagues. Casey also worked a second job as “everyone’s favorite bartender” at Rally’s Sports Bar in Westfield. Casey was an outstanding athlete. She was a softball All-Star and was named best player in her 1999 softball tournament. She most recently started coaching her daughter’s T-Ball team, along with her parents Bruce and Marge. Casey loved spending time with her best friend, daughter Lily. They were “thick as thieves” and spent every moment together, always finding new adventures. Casey leaves behind her daughter Lily Elizabeth, parents Bruce and Marge Martin, and step-mom Diane, all of Westfield; her sister Mechelle Martin of Westfield; her aunt Glenda and husband Stanley Halla, Debbie Artz, uncle David Artz and partner Lynn, all of Westfield, and aunt Jeanne and husband Paul Krow; cousins Nicole Levesque and Jenny Horak Smearman of North Carolina, Nathan Halla and partner Helene, Neal Halla and wife Ryan, and Neeko and Kayla Artz, all of Westfield; Godmother Maria Maura, Lily’s father Jason Martin, as well as countless friends. She was pre-deceased by her grandmother Elizabeth Artz of Westfield. Casey will be very missed by all that loved her. Holidays and birthday’s will never be the same, but her memory will live on through her loved ones. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 between 5-7 PM in the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA.
