Catherine L Ward

Catherine Lindsay (Kay) Ward, 94, passed away peacefully at the Westfield Center Nursing Facility on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Born in East Rochester, NY, she was one of eleven children. She was a 1943 graduate of East Rochester High School and a 1947 graduate of University of Rochester F. Eastman School of Music. She married her husband Douglas and moved to Westfield in 1948. Kay taught instrumental music in the Westfield school system for many years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Westfield. She enjoyed golf at the Blandford Country Club and traveling to Europe. She was predeceased by her husband in 2006. She leaves her daughter Jan and husband Paul, son Jim and wife Kim, four grandchildren, Adrienne, Lianne, Darren, Rachel, and five great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of the Westfield Center for all of the wonderful care they provided. The funeral will be held on Monday, January 20th at 11:30 am at the Frtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. The burial will be private. Calling hours will be held before the service at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11:30 am.
