Charles Howard Sargent, of Westfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on February 26, 1940, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Charles lived a full and devoted life defined by love for his family, dedication to his work, and a quiet, unwavering generosity of spirit. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army and later built a long and successful career in sales with the New England Envelope Company, where he worked for over 25 years. Known for his strong work ethic and easygoing nature, Charles formed lasting friendships with colleagues and clients alike. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Sargent of Westfield, and their three children: Susan St. Germain of Spencer, MA; Gina Plouffe of Chicopee, MA; and Tom Sargent of Freedom, NH. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Allen of Kingston, New Hampshire, and his four beloved grandchildren: Zachary Sargent, Tyler Sargent, Nicholas St. Germain, and Sarah St. Germain. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and happiness in his life. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Charles was an avid golfer who cherished time on the course. He loved playing cards with his family and friends and always looked forward to his trips to the casino, where his sense of fun and adventure came to life. Charles will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor, and the unwavering love he had for those closest to him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and joy to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. A private service, on a future date, will be held by the family to honor and celebrate his life.
