Clement Bonenfant, 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Baystate Noble Hospital. He was born in Augusta, Maine to the late Eva M. (Lambert) and William J. Bonenfant, Sr. and attended Gardiner Maine schools. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955 and attained the rank of Specialist third class (SP3) Corporal. Clem worked for Moore Drop Forge as a machine operator for 12 ½ years and for Tell Tool Inc for 14 years as a machine operator. He retired in 1999, after 30 years as a line truck driver, meter tester, installer and repairman for the Westfield Gas and Electric. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, the American Legion Post 124, Westfield Moose Lodge 1255 and Knights of Columbus Whip City Council 100. Clem is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jeannille M. (Begin) Bonenfant, his loving children, Judy L. Bonenfant and her partner Armand Violette of Westfield, Linda M. Schreindorfer of Suffield, CT, and Don C. Bonenfant of Westfield, four cherished grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Jennifer, Dylan, Melissa and Nathaniel and two great grandchildren Brett and Alexi, step grandchildren Alexander and Ava, his brothers William J. Bonenfant, Jr. of Gardiner, Maine and Arthur Bonenfant of Farmingdale, Maine and his sisters, Lorraine Allen of Farmingdale, Maine and Simone Lavallee of Farmingdale Maine and several nieces and nephews and other countless treasured family members and friends. Sadly, Clem was predeceased by family members and friends, including his sisters Theresa Anderson, Muriel Gurney, son-in-Law Michael Schreindorfer and a step great grandchild Shellane. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday at 2PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085 followed by burial with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Main St. Agawam. Visiting hours will precede the service from 12PM-2PM in the funeral home.
