Clifford Jorgensen Obituary

Clifford Ike Jorgensen age 55, died unexpectedly in Springfield, MA September 8, 2021.  He was born to Martin Jorgensen and Suzanne Bridge Jorgensen on December 20, 1965, in Concord, NH.

Ike grew up in Longmeadow MA and graduated from Longmeadow High School class of 1984.  Growing up in Longmeadow, he forged numerous lifelong friendships.  In his youth he was mentored and developed a passion for being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  This included annual trips to Peru, MA with his mentors and their families.  This passion extended to later in life and the friendships forged have remained the cornerstones of his life.

He worked for the Springfield Housing Authority for 24 years.  In his many years at the housing authority, he made innumerable friends and helped countless families.  There was no problem, Ike couldn't solve.  He put his skills to work helping his families and friends.  Ike was truly known as the friend anyone could call for anything at any time.  Ike was also proud a member the Masonic Lodge, which aided him in helping his community.

Music was a daily enjoyment for Ike, and accompanied by his wife or closest family and friends he attended numerous concerts where his joy was always visible, and deeply memorable.

Above all Ike enjoyed spending time with his family.  Teaching his kids his love for the outdoors, mentoring his son's in hunting and fishing, and spending time with his daughters.  The family loved going on vacation together in York ME and Ludlow VT.  Endless hours were spent walking the beach, soaking up the sun, kayaking, fishing and laughing around the campfire.

Ike leaves his wife of 26 years Terry (Foote) Jorgensen and their four children Grace, Grady, Gracia, McCauly and stepson Morgan Bovat.  In addition, he leaves his siblings Marty, Jayne, identical twin Mike (Melissa) and Charles (Linda).  He was adored by his many nieces and nephews Mary Elizabeth, Robert, Erik, Amanda, Cliff, Jeremiah, Maria, Bryan, McKenzie, Griffon, Gary, Alex and Emmalee.  He was predeceased by his parents and his nephew Garrett Neumann.

To say that Ike is going to be missed by all who knew and loved him is a huge understatement.
