David C. Carkhuff

David C. Carkhuff, 65, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, with his wife by his side. He was born on September 3, 1959, in Westfield to the late Carlton and Jacqueline (Egan) Carkhuff and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Dave worked as a draftsman and consultant for various companies and treasured the years he worked with his father. Dave was a huge sports fanatic, especially the Miami Dolphins, LA Lakers, Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed spending time at the casinos and served as the Commissioner in his fantasy baseball league for many years. Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Roslyn K. (Ashley) Carkhuff, his brother-in-law, Scott Ashley and his wife Crystal of Port Charlotte, FL and many cousins, good friends and fellow sports enthusiasts. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM in Pine Hill Cemetery, off King Street in Westfield. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday from 3-5 PM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield.
