David A. Porter Obituary

David A. Porter, 84, passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Westfield to the late Richard and Theresa (McMahon) Porter. He attended Westfield schools and graduated from Westfield High School. David proudly served the City of Westfield as a firefighter for 18 years. Following his retirement, he went on to own and operate his trucking business, John F. Porter & Sons. He had a deep passion for antique trucks and enjoyed working on and rebuilding them, as well as attending truck shows. To cherish his memory, David leaves his beloved wife, Linda Porter. He is also survived by his children, Richard Porter (Mary Beth), James Porter (Tricia), Kevin Rodriguez, and Debbi Clark (Myrl); his eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his brother, Richard Porter (Dorothy), and his brother-in-law, Robert Tirrell. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Susan Tirrell, and his daughter-in-law, Judy Rodriguez. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, Westfield, MA 01085.
