Doris (Farmer) Warner, 94, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Genesis at Westfield Center. She was born in Rome, NY to the late James A. and Katherine M. (Keating) Farmer. She was a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Name Class of 1944 and Utica School of Commerce Class of 1946. Doris was employed by the Rome Soap Company, in Rome, NY for numerous years as an Executive Secretary. After relocating to Westfield, she retired in 1990 after 15 years from the Woronoco Savings Bank as an Administrative Assistant. Doris was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, St. Mary’s Confraternity, the American Institute of Banking and the Westfield Women’s Club. Sadly Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, James L. Warner in 2016, a son James L. Warner, III in 1954 and her sister Joan F. Brooks in 1989. She is survived by her loving children, Patricia A. Vachon of Houston, TX, James D. Warner and his wife Carla Lemnah-Warner of Westfield, MA, Julie A. Kennedy and her husband Michael of Westfield, MA and Timothy P. Warner and his wife Karin of Newtown, CT, her cherished grandchildren, Katie Lynn Mitchell and her husband Nicholas Mitchell, Emily A. Warner and partner Nicholas Low, Matthew E. Vachon, Timothy J. Vachon, Sean M. Kennedy, Liam J. Kennedy, Katherine G. Warner, John P. Warner and Ava A. Warner and her five great grandchildren, Lilly Mitchell, Connor Mitchell, Murphy Mitchell, Ulysses Low and Asa Low, and her niece and nephew, Mary Sharon Brooks and James H. Brooks of Kansas City, MO. Her funeral will be held on Friday, June 10th, at 11AM from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00PM in St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett St. Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 9th from 4-7PM in the funeral home.
