Elaine (Secchi) Kelly

Elaine passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on February 12, 2026.  Born February 10, 1941 in Springfield. The daughter of T. Frank and Josephine E. (Salli) Secchi.  Elaine graduated from Cathedral high school in 1958. Elaine was a 1961 graduate of Springfield Hospital School of Nursing with a degree in nursing. She was a lifetime member of Baystate Medical Nurses Alumni Association and a member of its board. Retired after 42 years of service from Wesson Women's WETU and Labor and Delivery. Cooking was her love language and if you were ever on the receiving end of a great meal, you felt her love. She also loved to knit and crochet and made countless blankets for loved ones as well as for charity. Many of us still use her blankets as well as her colorful pot holders. She always welcomed you with a warm smile. Many called her Mom. Elaine was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend Patrick J. Kelly, who passed away on 4/4/10. She leaves her daughters; Laurie Kelly of West Springfield and Lisa Kelly of Spring, Texas.  She also leaves her sister Sandy Roy (Richard) of Westfield, nieces Corinne Griswold (Marc) and Leanne Melto (Tom), and Goddaughter Ellen Foley (Jim). The family wishes to thank the staffs at Baystate Medical Center and Jewish Geriatric Services for their loving care and dedicated support. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9AM from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by a Mass at 10AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield. Burial will follow the Mass in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elaine  to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield, or the National MS Society, or the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. www.firtionadams.com
