Elizabeth Abigail (Rocker) Hills

Elizabeth Abigail Hills of Westfield, Ma 66 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a hard fought battle with Leukemia on Monday December 23rd, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Donald Hills. Abby as she was known to her family and friends was a kind, gentle and giving spirit. She was the beloved Gaga to her grandchildren Cameron, Jack, Lyla, Hudson and Ryland who all adored her as much as she adored them.

Abby was born January 24th, 1958 in Louisville, Ky. She spent her career in healthcare first as a nurse’s aide when her children were young and eventually earning her master’s degree in nursing. She worked in different areas of nursing however she loved labor and delivery, ICU and her final position working as a nurse professor at American International College. Abby loved to spend time in her garden, as well as knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was most at peace when with her family on Cape Cod.

Abby was predeceased by her parents John and Janice Rocker. In addition to her husband and grandchildren Abby is survived by her daughter Sarah Scott and son in law Joseph of Marstons Mills, ma. Son Christopher Brown and partner Jessica Pennington of Forestdale, Ma. Sister Lynn Burr of Middletown, Ct. Nephew Matthew Rocker wife Anna and daughter Amelia of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Sister in law Linda Messenger of New York City and Mother in law Marlene Hills of Westfield, Ma.

The funeral for Abby will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 10AM in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 5-7PM in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield.
