Ethalyn M (Tracy) Jakobowski

Ethalyn Jakobowski, 92, of Southwick MA passed away on July 2, 2025 at her daughter’s house in Southwick. She was born June 8, 1933 to the late Frank and Irma Tracy. She was a stay at home mom and also did all the bookkeeping for Southwick Construction Company for her husband, the late Peter Jakobowski. She was on the Republican Town Committee for many years. She also was a poll worker in Southwick for many years, a job that she always enjoyed doing. She was always willing to help out wherever and whenever she was needed. She had a great laugh that was infectious and seem to spread a little bit of joy wherever she went, even in her final hours. Ethalyn is survived by her four children, Shirley Morris and her husband Don, Cindy Jakobowski, Peter Jakobowski and his wife Gloria, Tracy Meczywor and her husband David. She also leaves behind 5 awesome grandchildren, Peter Jakobowski Jr, and his wife Stephanie, Julie Incillo, David Meczywor and his wife Kelsey, Stacia King and her husband Chris, Melissa Davis and her husband Justin. She also leaves behind nine beautiful great grandchildren, Jakob Mondoux, Madison and Brielle Incillo, Odin Jakobowski, Virginia and Isaac Meczywor, Samuel and Lilah King and Grady Davis. She was looking forward to the birth of Baby Meczywor and Baby Davis. Ethalyn was predeceased by her daughter, Sherrie Grady, sister Shirley Hietala and brothers Robert and Arthur Tracy. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and extended family. She touched many lives during her 92 years and many friends turned into family. She spent her lunch time at the Senior Center with her friends and she loved her time at the Center. Services will be held at Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield MA on Saturday July 5th. Calling hours are 9:30 a.m to 11:00 a.m with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Southwick Cemetery.
