Florine (Bedard) Mercier

Florine (Bedard) Mercier, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Quebec, Canada, the last of five children, of Albert and Elizabeth (Cormier) Bedard. Florine enjoyed fishing, boating and went parasailing, playing the slots at the casinos, scratching scratch ticket and loved her chocolate and sweets. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jean-Louis Mercier in 1996 and a daughter Sylvie Wellspeak. She is survived by her six children, France Amell and her husband Joe of Westfield, Louise Reopel and her husband Bryan of Winston-Salem, N. Carolina, Carole Pease and her late husband Michael of Westfield, Lynn Traver and her husband Ken of Westfield, Jeanne Falls and her husband Shawn of Huntington and Jean Mercier of Crestview, FL, and her cherished seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 203 Southampton Rd. Westfield. A visiting hour will be prior to the service from 10-11AM in the funeral home.
