Gail Ensign Obituary

Gail Whitney Ensign 84 passed away peacefully on Sunday March 10th.  Gail was born on March 9, 1940 and was raised in Westfield, MA.  She graduated from Westfield High school and went on to attend AIC in Springfield, MA where she received her degree in Teaching.  Gail began her teaching career in the Southwick Mass school system.  In 1971 Gail moved to Foxboro, Mass where she taught for 29 years in the Wrentham Public Schools. She was well regarded by both the students and staff.

Upon retiring in 2000, Gail moved to Florida where she occupied her days as a volunteer at a Horse Shelter.  In 2019 Gail moved back to Mass to be closer to her family whom she adored.  Gail was known for being fun loving, kind, humble, selfless, caring and a bit eccentric.  Gail had a true zest for life, her friends and animals. She loved her summers on the Cape, specifically Wellfleet as well as skiing in New Hampshire.

Gail was predeceased by her parents William & Bessie (Taylor) Ensign, and her brothers William and John Ensign.  Gail will be lovingly remembered by her close friends Jeanne, Grace, Bunny, Reggie, her sister-in law, (3) nieces and nephew as well as her (3) great nieces and (3) great nephews.   All who knew her mourn her passing, but consider it a blessing that she is now with her parents and brothers.

RIP, dear Gail
